Cross Country Set For Friday?s Indiana Intercollegiate

MUNCIE, Ind. - - After competing in three consecutive four-team events, the Ball State cross country team travels to West Lafayette, Ind., for Friday's 24-team Indiana Intercollegiate hosted by Purdue.
There will be a pair of 5K women's events at the Boilermaker Cross Country Course Friday afternoon, starting with the women's open race at 3:30 p.m. and ending with the women's championship race at 5 p.m. A total of 24 teams and 368 competitors are entered in the two women's events.
Ball State will have competitors in both races, as Jessica Bryzek, Danielle Dahl, Caitlynn Edon, Courtney Edon, Emma Manchess, Ericka Rinehart and Madelyn Webster are entered in the championship race. Rachel Billingsley, Natalia Boykin, Sarah Hoppes, Jordan Jenkins and Becca Kropf are all slated to run in the earlier open race.
At last seasons' Indiana Intercollegiate, hosted by Indiana, the Cardinals finished eighth among the programs scored as Women's Big State Teams. Courtney Edon paced Ball State at the meet, placing 24th among the Big State rnners with a time of 19:21.88.
