Women's Tennis Loses 5-2 at Youngstown State

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team fell to 7-4 on the season after losing to Youngstown State by a score of 5-2 Saturday evening.
The Ball State twosome of Lauren Pickrell and Paola Rodriguez managed an 8-1 defeat over Youngstown State's Carolyn Jesko and Tijana Raicevic at the No. 3 position. The Cardinals would drop the doubles point after losing the next two matches to the Penguins.
After that, Ball State entered singles play down 1-0. Freshman Courtney Earnest claimed a three set victory at No. 2 singles, improving her overall record to 10-1. Bethany Moore won in straight sets at the No. 4 position after beating Carolyn Jesko, 6-2, 6-1.
The Ball State women's tennis team continues non-conference action Sunday at Cleveland State. First serve is at 10 a.m.
