Swimmer Headed to Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Summit

MUNCIE, Ind. - Freshman swimmer Tanner Barton is heading to Atlanta this weekend to participate in the Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Summit. All alumni from the 25 Scholar classes will be invited to the event held Oct. 11-14, 2013.
From seasoned professionals across all industries to current college and graduate school students, there are over 500 participants expected to attend. Through sessions led by industry leaders on topics from personal and professional development to leadership and innovation to community outreach.
Barton, who was the valedictorian of his senior class, is a health science major at Ball State with aspirations of becoming a certified diabetes educator.
Barton and the Ball State men's swimming and diving team will be in action on Friday, Oct. 25 when it hosts its annual Red-White meet at 6 p.m.
