
Women's Tennis Loses at Toledo, 4-3

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team lost to Toledo in Mid-American Conference action Saturday afternoon by a score of 4-3.
With the loss the Cardinals fall to 5-11 overall and 0-4 in league play.
The Cardinals took the early 1-0 advantage over the Rockets after winning the doubles point. Senior co-captain Sarah Hebble paired up with Paola Rodriguez capturing a 9-7 victory over Chrissy Coffman and Pia Rygh on court two. Ball State won after the No. 3 doubles team for Toledo defaulted.
In singles action for the second straight MAC match, Courtney Wild defeated Kelsey Anonsen in three sets, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (5), 10-4. Senior co-captain Dena Boulieris also won after a Toledo default. Wild went 2-0 in singles action this weekend for the Cardinals.
The Ball State women's tennis team will host Western Michigan (Friday) and Bowling Green (Saturday) at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center weather permitting. Both matches will start at 1 p.m.
