
Women's Tennis Loses 6-1 At No. 72 Akron

AKRON, Ohio - The Ball State University women's tennis team dropped to 7-11 overall and 1-4 in Mid-American Conference action after losing 6-1 to No. 72 Akron Friday afternoon at the Springside Racquet Club/LaTuchie Tennis.
The Cardinals fell behind early on to the zips after dropping the doubles point. Senior Katherine Rist earned the lone win for Ball State at No. 5 singles after posting a 7-5, 6-3 defeat over Jeremie Benjamin.
The Ball State University women's team will continue MAC action on the road at Buffalo Saturday with the match beginning at 1 p.m.
