Ohio State used strong offensive pressure from the opening minutes, as Jena Cacciatore provided the Buckeyes' first scoring opportunity at 5:32 mark off a penalty corner. The squad increased its lead to 4-0 before halftime and Ohio State tallied its final goal of the game in the second period at 37:59 mark, as Danica Deckard scored off a deflection.
