Reder tied the game in the 64th minute as the Cardinals took advantage of a corner kick. Redshirt sophomore Sarah Orisich (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North) sent the corner kick into the box where it found the head of Reder who buried it in the back of the net for her second tally of the game. She becomes the third Cardinal this season to score two goals in a game, joining senior Missy Gordon (Carmel, Ind./Marshall) and redshirt sophomore Abby Milillo (Fairfield, Ohio/Badin).
Ball State battled to the end of regulation vying for the go ahead goal as it peppered Buffalo goalkeeper Ainsley Wheldon with 11 shots in the half. Gordon was the top attacker on offense as she tallied a game-high and season-high nine shots while sophomore Paige Stroinski (Granger, Ind./Penn) recorded five shots.
The teams went through both overtime periods with only five total shots between the teams (3-2 BSU lead). Schramm finished the game with three saves as she played a career-high 110 minutes while Wheldon kept the Bulls in the contest as she tallied 11 saves.
