Ball State Sports Link Package: Brooke MacGillivary

MUNCIE, Ind. - Field Hockey is not a sport that gets a lot of attention in this area, but senior Brooke MacGillivary (North Vancouver, B.C./Carson Graham H.S.) hopes to change that.
"There's a lot of pressure I put on myself to do well," MacGillivary said. "Especially because this is my last year and this is my last chance. I want to do as much as I can for the team and the program."
MacGillivary, a two-time All Mid-American Conference selection, hails from British Columbia and has been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad in each of her previous three seasons.
"It's definitely tough balancing field hockey with school," said MacGillivary, who owns a 3.72 grade-point average as an exercise science major. "Everyone is so supportive with the team, our coaches and across campus."
Through Sept. 26, MacGillivary has scored four goals on 23 shots and has accumulated eight points for the Cardinals.
MacGillivary and the Cardinals open a six-game homestand in Muncie Oct. 2 vs. Miami. The MAC Tournament begins Nov. 5.
