Women's Golf Third at Purdue Ladies Midwest Shootout

Ball State's women's golf team finished third out of 11 teams at the one-day, 36-hole Purdue Ladies Midwest Shootout.
The Cardinals tallied a 315-309-624 to finish behind Kent State (610) and Vanderbilt (615). Ball State defeated the host Boilermakers, which are ranked ninth in the nation, by one stroke. KSU is 23rd in the nation, while Vanderbilt is the 20th-ranked team in the country.
Brittany Kelly managed a 79-73=152 to finish sixth overall, while Kristtini Cain managed a tie for seventh with a 76-77=153. Rachael Pruett carded a 78-80=158 and placed 12th. Kirsty O'Connor tallied an 82-79=161 to tie for 20th. Sarah Windlan carded an 89-84=173, while Katie Windlan managed an 88-94=182.
Ball State will compete at the Mid-American Conference Championships April 24-26 at Longaberger Golf Course in Nashport, Ohio.
