Women's Tennis Loses 6-1 At Miami In MAC Action

OXFORD, Ohio - The Ball State University women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision in Mid-American Conference action Saturday afternoon against Miami. The Cardinals are now 5-7 overall and 0-2 in MAC action. The RedHawks improve to 7-6 overall and 7-0 in the MAC.
The RedHawks took an early 1-0 edge over the Cardinals after sweeping doubles play. Freshmen twosome Kylee Johnson and Sarah Hebble was the closest match at No. 2 doubles losing 8-5 to Riekie Honiball and Brintney Larson.
Sophomore Georgina Thomson was the lone Cardinal to win a match today in singles action. Thomson played at No. 5 claiming a 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 1-0 (11-9) match over Honiball.
The Ball State women's tennis returns home Friday as it hosts Akron at 1 pm at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center weather permitting.
