Men's Basketball Begins Practice For 2009-10 Season

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's basketball team took part in its first official practice for the 2009-10 season Friday evening at Worthen Arena under the tutelage of third-year head coach Billy Taylor. The Cardinals held a two hour practice to kick off the preseason practice schedule. CLICK HERE for a photo album from the practice.
Ball State, the reigning Mid-American Conference West Division champions, returns eight members of last season's team. The Cardinals return six letterwinners from last season that played in 159 combined games.
Sophomore forward Jarrod Jones (Michigan City, Ind./Michigan City) leads the way as the reigning MAC Freshman of the Year played in all 31 games last season and led the team in scoring (11.2) and rebounding (7.3). Junior forward Malik Perry (Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia Lutheran) returns after making 27 starts last season for the Cardinals as he was second on the team with 149 rebounds.
Also returning for the Cardinals is senior forward Terrence Watson (Detroit, Mich./Univ. of Mississippi), senior guard Brawley Chisholm (Bronx, N.Y./Western Texas College), sophomore guard Randy Davis (Plymouth, Ind./Plymouth), sophomore forward Mo Hubbard (Chantilly, Va./Westfield), sophomore guard Pierre Sneed (Chicago, Ill./Simeon) and redshirt freshman Zach Fields (North Vernon, Ind./Jennings County).
The Cardinals welcome in three freshmen to the team this fall in guard Jauwan Scaife (Muncie, Ind./Muncie Central), guard Myron Green Jr. (Carson, Calif./Dominguez) and Zach Harrison (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute North).
