Men's Golf Finishes Second at Bearcat Invitational

Ball State's men's golf team posted a 296-293-304=893 to finish second at the Cincinnati Bearcat Invitational at The Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Ky.
The second place showing was the third top-10 finish of the fall season for Ball State and the second time the Cardinals have been tournament runners up.
Ball State finished the Bearcat Invitational four strokes behind tournament champion Miami University, while defeating Mid-American Conference foes Bowling Green (904) and Ohio (905).
Eric Steger placed second in the event with a 72-73-72=217. Ross Cosat and Joe Gasser tied for 15th. Cosat managed a 74-73-77=224, and Gasser carded a 77-72-75=224. Brodie Williams tied for 42nd with a 75-75-80=230 and Eric Skillman tallied a 75-75-81=231 to tie for 45th. TJ Carpenter competed as an individual and posted a 78-79-87=244 to tie for 82nd.
The Cardinals will compete in the Dayton Fall Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the National Cash Register Club in Dayton, Ohio.
