
Softball Swept By Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio ? The Ball State softball team fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes 2-1 in game one of the doubleheader. The Cardinals were shutout in game two, 7-0.
The Buckeyes were able to regain the lead in the bottom of the inning. DeAnn Young doubled down the left field line, allowing Stephanie Draper to score the game winning run.
Elizabeth Milian took the loss on the mound for BSU. Milian threw a complete game, and limited the Buckeyes to five hits.

Kate Wilczynksi recorded the first hit of the game for BSU in the third inning of game two.
Alyssa Collins and Abby Gross each went 1-3 for the Cardinals. Gross now leads the team with 11 doubles.
Tiffany Garofano took the loss on the mound for
Masch finished the game with two strikeouts, and also only allowed one earned run.
The Cardinals will return to Mid-American Conference play this weekend with a doubleheader against
