Softball Places 11 On Academic All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND - - The Ball State softball team placed 11 student-athletes on the 2026 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team as announced by the league office Tuesday (June 9).
Leading the group are two-time honorees Payton Fox, Jessica Hoffman, Ashlee Lovett, Bridie Murphy, Allee Noble, Veronica Peitersen, Maia Pietrzak and Hayley Urban.

Brinkley Kita, Grace Spencer and Ella Whitney all earn the honor for the first time in their careers.

A total of 102 student-athletes earned the Academic All-MAC distinction in softball by maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA and participating in at least half of the team's contests for the season. Northern Illinois led the way with 13 honorees, while Ball State was one of three teams tied for second with 11.
First-year students and any college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
