
Softball Falls Short Against Miami

Lisa Rozanski got hit for the 12th time this season to start the game for the Cardinals. Rozanski went on to steal second base, and moved to third off a ground out from Alyssa Collins.
Meredith Linch walked Abby Gross and Amanda Pick to load the bases. The walk gives Pick 25 on the year, which sets a new single-season BSU record.
An RBI triple by Breanna Robinson gave
Gross recorded the first hit of the game for BSU with a single up the middle in the third inning. Kate Wilczynski hit a single to center field in the fourth inning for the second hit of the game.
Linch walked the bases loaded in the top of the fifth inning, but BSU was not able to capitalize keeping the score at 1-0.
Kamilah Holle led off the top of the sixth inning with a single to center field.
Linch walked Pick and Elizabeth Milian with two outs in the top of the seventh inning. Wilczynski hit two hard foul balls before being walked to load the bases.
Linch put the Cardinals away by throwing her eighth strikeout of the game. She threw all seven innings and also walked 10 batters.
“Overall we played pretty well today,” said
Milian took the loss on the mound for BSU. Milian struck out five batters and gave up six hits.
