
Cardinals Comeback in 7th Inning to Defeat Akron

The Zips took the lead in the top of the fourth inning when Katrina Moffett hit a double down the left field line. Cali Stratton's single up the middle allowed Moffett to score the first run of the game.
The Cardinals chipped away at the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Elizabeth Milian hit a two RBI double to left field. Milian leads the team with eight doubles this season.
Alicia Barkley loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh inning with a single to center field. Gross went to the plate with two outs and the opportunity to either tie or win the game with a hit. She blasted a double to the fence allowing Cassi Olp and Allie Pennock to score.
Milian finished the game 3-for-3 at the plate and also earned the win on the mound for BSU. Milian struck out nine batters and only walked one batter to earn her 10th win of the season.
