Women's Tennis Suffers 7-0 Loss At Indiana
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team fell 7-0 to Big Ten foe Indiana on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals drop to 3-3 on the season.
Indiana took the early lead by winning the doubles point. Sigrid Fischer alongside teammate Lindsey Stuckey earned an 8-3 victory over Ball Stat's No. 1 doubles tandem of Jennifer Pollack and Haly Calderwood. BSU's No. 2 and 3 doubles team both lost to IU by a score of 8-1.
In singles action Quist lost at No. 1 to Alba Berdala, 6-1, 6-1. Pollack fell 6-1, 6-0 to Charlotte Martin at No. 2. Calderwood dropped her match to Fischer, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3. Ball State went on to lose the remainder of its matches.
Ball State women's tennis returns home Saturday, Feb. 23 against Youngstown State. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
