
Ball State Prepares For Middle Tennessee State

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The
Yancey scored a run in the second inning to tie the game at 2-2. Yancey's second at-bat came in the fourth inning and she delivered with a solo home run.
The Eagles had a 5-4 lead going into the sixth inning. In the bottom of the sixth, a single by pinch hitter Amber Wolf scored Kam Holle to tie the game at 5-5.
However, in the seventh inning, Morehead State's Brandy Bucher scored the go ahead run and the Eagles went on to win 7-5.
In the second game,
Jeziorski, Yancey and freshman Brittney Jones all stole a base against the Blue Raiders which takes the season total for stolen bases to 25. Last year the Cardinals only managed to steal 16 bases.
The Blue Raiders scored seven runs through the first four innings of the game. Leading the charge for MTSU was senior Muriel Ledbetter and Ashley Cline, who hit back-to-back home runs in the third inning.
The Cardinals scored a run in both the sixth and seventh inning, but came up short as they were defeated 7-2.
