Swimming & Diving Remains In Fifth Place After Second Day At MAC's

BUFFALO, NY - The Ball State University men's swimming and diving team remain in fifth place at the Mid-American Conference Championships after day two's action on Friday night.
The Cardinals 200 medley relay team took fifth place in the first event of the night.
Kyle Hembree took fourth place honors in the 400 IM with a time of 4:03.95. Adam Konopka came in ninth just shy of an eighth place finish after a 4:06.81 performance.
In the 100 fly Ian McIntosh took 12th place (52.52), Chris Steindorff came in 13th (52.87) and Jacob Morris rounded out the group in 14th place with a time of 52.98.
Ben Karwoski took home a 13th place finish in the 200 free after clocking in a time of 1:45.29 teammate Mark Augustyn was 16th in the event with a 1:46.80 final.
Ryan Franklin swam his way into a seventh place finish in the 100 breast (58.38).
BSU ended the night with a fifth place showing in the 800 free relay.
The MAC Championship will conclude on Saturday, Feb. 24. The meet will begin at 7 pm with the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 3-meter diving and 400 free relay.
