Cross Country team places 2nd in the Bronco Invitational

Western Michigan won the meet with a score of 34 narrowly defeating the Cardinals by three points. Eastern Michigan finished third with 65 points, and finally Northern Illionois with 102 points.
Ball State had seven runners finish in the top 15 at the event. Freshmen Sarah Kehe (18:34) and Ali Bishel (18:36) finished second and third for the second time this season. Senior Rose Lehe finished ninth with a time of 19:08.
The next four Ball State runners finished in a pack. Lisa Arrowsmith (11th, 19:20), Vanessa Gilbert (12th, 19:24), Amanda Ponsot (13th, 19:25), and Brittany Ade (14th, 19:26) rounded out the top fifteen.
Eastern Michigan's Kalli Williams won the meet with a time of 18:04.
"I feel like as a team we are moving in the right direction, and will continue to get better as the season goes on," says head coach Todd Lane.
The Cardinals next meet will be Sept. 29th at the Notre Dame invite in South Bend, Ind.
