September 14, 2006 | Cross Country
The race site was held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course located at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind.
Leading the way for the Cardinals was freshman Sarah Kehe who finished 12th with a time of 18:34. Ali Bishel (17th, 18:44) and Lisa Arrowsmith (39th, 19:35) improved by nearly tens seconds from their last meet at the Butler Open.
Injuries kept some runners out of the Butler Open. For Rose Lehe (32nd, 19:19) and Kelsey Nielson (61st, 20:07) the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet was their first race of the season.
Indiana's Jessica Gall won the meet with a time of 17:37.
"In cross country it's more important to be good at end of the year," says Lane. "We are going to be patient and hopefully be in full swing by the Notre Dame Invite."
Ball State returns to action Sept. 22 at the George Dales Invite in Kalamazoo, Mich.
