Karwoski Named MAC Swimmer of the Week

MUNCIE, Ind. - Freshman Ben Karwoski (Bluffton, Ind./Bluffton) of the Ball State University swimming and diving team has been named the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week, which was announced by the league office today.
Karwoski took home three first place finishes at the House of Champions meet held at IUPUI on Friday (Dec. 1) and Saturday (Dec. 2). Karwoski clocked in a 4:42.33 in the 500 free to win the event. He then earned a first place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.34. Karwoski closed out the weekend with a top finish in the 200 butterfly (1:57.06). Karwoski was also a member of the 800 yard free relay that placed first after clocking in at 7:11.71. Karwoski's success helped the Cardinals win the House of Champions with a team total of 938.5.
Ball State continues action when it travels to Big Ten foe Michigan State on Saturday (Dec. 11).
