Cardinals finish 2nd at the Falcon Invitational
October 12, 2006 | Cross Country
The Ball State women's cross country team finished second this weekend at the Falcon Invitational. The meet was held at the Forrest Creason Golf Course on Saturday October 14th at 10:45 a.m.
The Cardinals were originally scheduled to compete in the Brooks Pre-NCAA Meet in Terre Haute; however coach Todd Lane thought that a 5k race would be more beneficial to the team at this time.
Freshman Sarah Kehe (5th, 18:06) was the top finisher once again for the Cardinals. Rose Lehe placed 18th with a time of 18:44.
Other Cardinal runners that helped the team place second were Ali Bishel (22nd, 18:55), Kelsey Neilson (24th, 19:01), and Vanessa Gilbert (31st, 19:12).
Akron won the women's meet with a score of 67. The overall winner was Ashley Ritchey from IPFW.
Final results will be posted on www.ballstatesports.com at the conclusion of the meet.
