In a 4-3 overtime loss at Northwestern Friday, she recorded the game's first goal after receiving a crossing pass and placing it on the left side of the net. For her second score of the contest, the fifth-year senior dribbled into the offensive zone, spun around two defenders and fired a shot that tied the game and carried it into overtime.
During Ball State's 5-1 loss to former MAC rival Louisville Saturday, Isaac-Smith added the Cardinals' lone goal as she dove with outstretched arms and tipped in a pass late in the game.
A 2004 All-MAC First Team and 2003 All-MAC Second Team selection, Isaac-Smith currently leads the Cardinals and is second in the conference in scoring with 12 points on six goals. She scored the game-winning goal in BSU's Sept. 10 victory over Providence.
Isaac-Smith, a health science major, was previously awarded MAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades Sept. 27, 2004, after totaling two goals and two assists during a three-game homestand in which the Cardinals went 2-1, with the loss coming at the hands of 7th-ranked Michigan.
Ball State, which owns a 1-5 overall record, will host Ohio State Tuesday at 3 p.m. for its home opener and then begin its conference slate with a 3 p.m. game against Ohio Friday at the BSU Turf Field.
