Peyton Stovall To Miss Remainder Of Season
December 01, 2005 | Men's Basketball
Junior Peyton Stovall (Lafayette, Ind./Lafayette Jefferson H.S.) will miss the remainder of the 2005-06 men's basketball season. The decision was made after further examination of an MRI revealed that the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee was torn in Saturday's victory at Wright State. Stovall is expected to have surgery this month.
"The Ball State Basketball program, players, coaches and fans are very disappointed for Peyton," said BSU head coach Tim Buckley. "We are also very hopeful for a full recovery and his return next season."
Stovall injured the same knee March 7 in Ball State's Mid-American Conference Tournament game at Bowling Green.
