Two Cross Country Runners Earn Academic All-MAC

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has a excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a students-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
Kibby, a senior telecommunications major with a 3.681 grade-point average, competed in all seven meets for BSU. She finished twice in the top-10 including an eighth-place finish at the Butler Open (19:29) and a 10th-place finish at the George Dales Invitational (18:37). At the MAC Championship, Kibby placed 76th with a time of 23:05.9 helping the Cardinals to a third-place team finish.
Lehe, a junior dietetics major with a 3.902 GPA paced the squad in five of the Cardinals seven meets. She started the season winning the first three meets including the Butler Open, Indiana Intercollegiates Meet and the George Dales Invitatiaonl. Her finish at the George Dales Invitational earned her MAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week and MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week accolades. Lehe added a 17th-place finish at the MAC Championship with a time of 18:22 helping BSU to a third-place team finish. This marks the second-straight year Lehe has garnered the award.
