This year-round football training facility features advanced strength-training equipment, meeting spaces and locker rooms for the football team, as well as a sports medicine facility. The facility is located in the building on the south side of Scheumann Stadium.
• The weight room includes 10 in-laid platforms, 10 racks, 615 pounds of weight per platform, 52 pairs of dumbbells and ample space for conducting various warm up routines, plyometrics, agility drills and lifting sessions.
• The weight room also holds a nutrition area, complete with post-workout shakes and bars, as well as foods vital to a student-athlete’s ability to recover properly after training.
• Most recently, the weight room underwent upgrades with new wall graphics that showcase Ball State legends Willie Snead, Keith Wenning and Jawhan Edwards. In addition, the Iron Cardinal Award, presented each year to the best overall athlete in the strength and conditioning program, was added to the east door wall with plaques of each year’s award recipient.
