MUNCIE, Ind. - - Despite four players with 11 kills and a career-high 29 digs from junior libero Sophie Ledbetter, the Ball State women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 (25-16, 19-25. 25-18. 25-20) setback to Miami Tuesday evening in Worthen Arena.
After a rough opening set, the Cardinals (11-5; 2-3 Mid-American Conference) seemingly found its grove with a solid second set victory. Unfortunately, the RedHawks (11-5; 3-2 MAC) regained the momentum midway through the third frame and never looked back.

Snook hit .348 (11-3-23) for the match, while Geer led Ball State with a career-high tying five total blocks and Smith chipped in one of BSU's three aces.
In the backcourt, Ledbetter paced all players with her career-high 29 digs, while going nearly flawless in serve receive with a .958 (23-for-24).
Senior setter Lindsey Green also collected double-digit digs in the match, adding 10 to go along with her 22 assists for her sixth double-double of the season. Sophomore setter Reese Axness added a team-high 24 assists, while the Cardinals connected at a .222 (55-21-153) clip as a team.
On the other side of the net, Molly Creech paced the RedHawks attack with 20 kills, while Rachel Morgan earned a team-leading 20 digs. Miami finished the match hitting .257 (56-17-152).
