2018-19: Earned fourth letter at Ball State… placed third in both the 200 medley relay (1:51.04) and 50 freestyle (25.94) against Eastern Illinois… took second place in 400 freestyle relay (3:38.31) against Akron…at Indiana State, assisted in third place 200 medley relay (1:49.64) and fourth place in 400 freestyle relay (3:40.87)… assisted in fourth place 400 yard freestyle relay at Bowling Green…fifth place in 200 freestyle (2:02.51 and fifth in 200 medley relay at Miami ... named a Ball State Centennial Scholar ... named to the Academic All-MAC Team.
2017-18: Earned third letter at Ball State… helped team to a first place finish in the 200 freestyle relay at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet
2016-17: Earned second letter at Ball State… Academic All-MAC… third best time on the Ball State squad in the 100 freestyle (52.86) and 200 freestyle (1:54.81)… part of the seventh best 800 free relay time with a time of 7:35.00...Marked a time of 2:00.40 in the 200 freestyle to earn 14th place at the Indiana Intercollegiate meet… earned two fourth place finishes against Indiana State and Eastern Illinois in the 200 freestyle (1:59.15) and in the 100 freestyle (55.29)… part of the first place finish in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.22 against ISU and EIU… recorded a time of 54.90 in the 100 freestyle against Bowling Green, earning fourth place…helped squad to a seventh place finish in the 800 medley relay at Miami Invitational with a team time of 7:39.09… part of a 10th place finish in the Miami Invitational in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:34.30
2015-16: Earned first letter at Ball State ... marked the third-best time of the Ball State squad in the 100 freestyle (53.09) and 200 freestyle (1:56.33) events ... other season-bests include the 50 free (25.54), 500 free (5:19.14), and 1000 freestyle (11:15.84) ... participated in the season-bests swims from the Ball State squad in the 400 free relay (3:32.95) at the Miami Invitational and 800 free relay (7:39.66), earning eighth place overall at the 2016 Mid-American Conference Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four year letter-winner under head coach Laura Hill at Yorktown High School ... specialized in the 200 free and 100 fly with times of 1:54.48 and 58.83, respectively ... was named Hoosier Heritage All-Conference three years running ... established a school record in the 200 medley relay her freshman year ... was a conference champion with her team both freshman and sophomore year ... was a state qualifier where she finished 21st in the 200 free junior year, was the sectional runner-up in the 100 fly, a sectional champion with her team relay ... was named All-American in the 200 medley relay ... earned Yorktown swim and dive Most Valuable Player her junior season ... a multisport athlete, Elston also ran cross country and track for Yorktown High School.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Michael and Penny Elston ... has one sister, Heather, who was a Ball State women’s swim and dive manager ... was born in Fort Wayne, Ind. on April 5, 1997 ... majoring in meteorology.
