Anna Farello enters her second season working with the Ball State track & field and cross country programs in 2018-19.
Farello, who is pursuing a masters' degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology, will serve as a mental skills consultant for the upcoming season. In her first year with the program, Farello worked with the program's distance runners.
A winner of the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, Farello was a four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track & field at the University of Portland where she graduated in May of 2017 with a degree in psychology and Spanish.
Farello was twice voted by her teammates at Portland as the team’s Most Inspirational Performer and earned All-West Coast Conference honorable mention in her final cross country season.
In 2016, she helped guide the Pilots to the WCC cross country championship and reach the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history. She finished 12th at the WCC Championship, 28th at the NCAA West Regionals and 124th at the NCAA Championships.
