Amanda Pratzel begins her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Ball State women’s tennis program.
A four-year letterwinner in tennis at The University of Missouri-Columbia, Pratzel played in all 50 matches during her career at Missouri. She was selected as a member of the student-athlete advisory committee. Pratzel was a 2007 Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection. She is tied for 11th all-time for winning percentage in a single season (2005-06).
Pratzel spent time as a full time tennis instructor for the Missouri Athletic Club from December of 2007 to August of 2008. Pratzel was in charge of summer junior tennis programs while running junior gateway tournaments and teaching all age groups during private lessons.
In Pratzel’s last semester at Missouri she was a volunteer assistant where she conducted one-on-one coaching and hitting sessions. She also helped with the recruiting process by showcasing the Missouri tennis program.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., Pratzel earned a bachelors degree in fitness and nutrition from Missouri in 2007.
