- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Stephen Woodward is in his first year as the volunteer assistant coach/goalkeepers coach for Ball State head coach Craig Roberts. Woodward spent the past two years as the goalkeeper trainer for the men's soccer team at Marian University in Indianapolis.
During his time at Marian, Woodward guided starting goalkeeper James Dulhanty to a single-season school record 131 saves last year. Under his guidance, Dulhanty earned second team All-Mid-Central Conference honors. In addition to his time at Marian, he held the position as the associate head coach/goalkeeper trainer at Warren Central High School for the last four seasons under Isang Jacob, current Penn State University men's assistant coach.
Also, Woodward coached at the club level with Indy Burn of the Pike Youth Soccer Club and was Director of Goalkeeping and a technical coach for the Screaming Eagles Summer Soccer Camp. He currently holds a USSF National D License, NSCAA Advanced Regional License, NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, and USSF National Youth License.
Woodward received his bachelor's degree in psychology with a concentration in clinical psychology and mathematics minor from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2010. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Ball State University studying Sport and Exercise Psychology.
