Soccer Unveils 2026 Season Schedule

The Ball State women's soccer team and head coach Andy Stoots have announced their 2026 regular season schedule.
The slate consists of 11 Mid-American Conference matches after a seven-contest nonconference schedule. Ball State plays every opponent in the MAC after the departure of Northern Illinois to the Horizon League left the conference with 12 teams.
The Cardinals are set to host Indiana State for an exhibition before playing IU Indy at home on Wednesday, Aug. 12 to kick off the 2026 regular season. From there, Ball State plays three road matches in a row at Butler (Aug. 20), Western Kentucky (Aug. 23) and Purdue (Aug. 27). A home game with Cincinnati on Aug. 30 wraps up the opening month of competition.
Remaining home for its first match of September against Eastern Illinois on Sept. 6, Ball State is then set to play the non-conference finale at Dayton on Sept. 13. The Cardinals host UMass on Sept. 17 at the Briner Sports Complex to begin the MAC slate. Road contests at Western Michigan (Sept. 20) and Miami (Sept. 27) continue conference play later in the month.
The bulk of MAC competition occurs in October, which features home matches vs Eastern Michigan (Oct. 1), Bowling Green (Oct. 10) and Ohio (Oct. 25). The Cardinals have road games at Akron (Oct. 4), Kent State (Oct. 15), Toledo (Oct. 18) and Central Michigan (Oct. 29) on the schedule as well.
The first day of November serves as the regular season finale with Ball State hosting Buffalo. The MAC Tournament will be hosted at Historic Crew Stadium on Nov. 7, 10 and 13 in Columbus, Ohio.
"I am excited to get going with the 2026 season and be back at Briner with the best fans in the MAC," Stoots said. "We have a great non-conference schedule and some exciting matchups to prepare us to compete in one of the most competitive conferences in the country."
Ball State is coming off a 2025 season when the team went 10-7-3 (7-4-1 MAC) to earn a No. 4 seed in the MAC Tournament and advanced to the semifinals.
