Amber Alexander enters her second season as an assistant coach at Ball State University under the direction of head coach Michael Lovett. Alexander helped the Cardinals to their eighth straight Mid-American Conference Tournament appearance last season as Ball State finished the year with a 9-10-1 overall record.

Alexander joins the Cardinals after spending the past three seasons on the staff at Xavier University. She was responsible for all aspects of recruiting and compliance at Xavier in addition to assisting with academic integrity and success of the student-athletes. She also assisted in the organization of team practices, competition and daily operations.

Alexander earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in kinesiology with a concentration in teaching/coaching from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2005. She played club soccer at UT-Arlington during her collegiate career.

Alexander has a variety of coaching experience, including holding her USSF "D" Coaching License. She trained with Ohio Elite, the Warren County United and Mason/Thunder United. In Texas, she coached with the Black Magic Soccer Club, American Eagle Soccer Club and the Dallas Texans Soccer Club. In addition, she has worked a number of summer soccer camps, including Notre Dame and Xavier.
