Bio
2023: Played 29 sets for the Cardinals…had four service aces…recorded 37 kills and 17 digs…tallied a season best 16 kills versus Tusculum along with three service aces and six digs (1/21/23) started playing volleyball at age 15…majoring in psychological science with a minor in neuroscience.

2022: Saw limited playing time … served up aces against Princeton (3/12/22) and Quincy (3/25/22) … registered two block assists versus Quincy (3/25/22) … helped the Cardinals win the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) regular season and tournament titles along with an automatic bye to the 2022 NCAA semifinal round.
2021: Did not play.
High School: A 6'6" outside hitter from Cox Mill High School, Phillips played club volleyball due there being no high school men's volleyball in North Carolina. Phillips gained experience with Carolina Union Volleyball Club where he led his team to a first place finish at Battle of the Bros, second place finish at the East Coast Championships and third at the Denis Lafata Championships and Florida Fest 2019. Phillips has a history of college volleyball in his family with his sister playing at Mars Hill University and his mother at Arkansas State University. Carolina Union is the same club that current Cardinal Kaleb Jenness played for. Jenness was named to the All-MIVA Freshman Team in 2019.
