2014 (So.): Earned her second letter at Evansville … played in 48 games, earning 43 starts … posted a .225 batting average with 25 hits in 111 at bats … tallied five doubles and a pair of home runs … also drew 15 walks to finish the year with a .312 on base percentage … recorded her first career three hit game versus Morehead State (Feb. 22), going 3-for-4 in the game with one run scored and a RBI to help lead the Purple Aces to a 6-3 victory … drove in the game-winning run with a RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning in a 7-6 victory over Indiana State in the first game of a March 15 doubleheader .. finished the contest with two doubles, a sacrifice fly and three RBI … provided a little late game heroics five days later, as her first home run of the season forced extra innings and ultimately helped Evansville pull out a 6-5 (8 inn.) win over Southeast Missouri State in the first game of a March 20 doubleheader … blasted her second home run of the season at Bradley (March 22) … stole a pair of bases on the year … finished the season with a .947 fielding percentage, recording 57 putouts, 87 assists and eight errors.
2013 (Fr.): Earned her first letter at Evansville … played in 44 games, earning 36 starts … posted a .180 batting average with 20 hits in 111 at bats … collected five doubles and three home runs … also drew nine walks to finish the year with a .236 on base percentage … her first collegiate hit was a two-run double in the seventh inning of the season-opener versus Virginia Tech (Feb. 15) … her first collegiate home run was a two-run blast in the third inning versus Nebraska-Omaha (Feb. 23) … finished the game going 2-for-3, with two RBI, one runs scored and her first career walk … drove in what proved to be the game-winning run in the first game of a doubleheader versus Bowling Green (March 8), with a two-run single in the third inning … her two-run home run in the top of the seventh in the first game of a twinbill at Wichita State (March 29) lifted the Purple Aces to a 2-0 victory … blasted her first career grand slam in the nightcap at UT Martin (April 3) … finished the season with 22 RBI and nine runs scored … stole three bases … recorded a .931 fielding percentage with 14 putouts, 13 assists and two errors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters for coach Jeff Berger at Cowan High School … four-time all-county and all-conference selection … member of the 2011 all-district team … named the Blackhawks Most Valuable Player as a junior … tallied 20 home runs over her career … hit .406 (41-of-101) as a senior with nine doubles, three triples and three home runs … also scored 39 runs and drove in 14 in her final high school campaign … led the squad with a .486 batting average as a junior, collecting 53 hits in 109 at bats … also tallied 15 doubles, triples and five home runs over her junior year … also earned four letters in volleyball and two in basketball at Cowan … twice named as an all-academic athlete … member of National Honor Society and involved in the school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes program.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Randy and Kim O’Conner … has two older brothers, Jacob and Justin… Justin was a first round draft pick for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2010 … born Jan. 27, 1994 … full name is Kirsten Kyra O’Conner.
