Â
Saleem on Suchecki: Grace is an Indiana native that will bring her mid-west values to the program. She is a powerful gymnast that will make an immediate impact on vault and floor. She is excited to continue developing her gymnastics skills and add her voice to a team which supports each other and cheers one another forward. She is considerate of others and takes the time to connect with everyone she meets. Growing up in Indiana, and coming to Ball State Gymnastics meets, she is very excited to become a Cardinal.
Â
Career Highlights: Capped a spectacular 2021 season with a floor (9.700) title at the Women’s Level 9 Eastern Championships … added a second-place finish on vault (9.750) and tied for fifth on bars (9.350), helping her finish tied for third in the all-around (37.225) at the meet … finished the 2021 season with two of America’s Top 100 Level 9 Vault Scores with her 9.750 (59th) at the Eastern Championships and her 9.725 (93rd) at the Jaycie Phelps Midwest Showdown … a wildcard qualifier on floor at the 2022 Women’s Development Program Level 10 Nationals … has earned nine floor, eight vault, three all-around, two bars, and two beam individual event titles over her career … owns career-best Level 10 scores of 9.600 on vault and 9.525 on floor.
Â
Why Ball State:Â I chose Ball State because its exercise science program is amazing. I love how close I am to home and being a part of the Ball State gymnastics program is a dream come true.
