2019 (Redshirt Senior): Named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week (11/6/19) … received Academic All-MAC honors for the fourth-straight season …. named to the 2019 Zag/Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Squad … started all 18 games …. scored on five different occasions – Rutgers (8/31/19), Saint Louis (9/6/19), UMass Lowell (9/15/19), Longwood (10/25/19) and the game-winner at home against Appalachian State (11/1/19) … led the team in goals (5), points (16), shots (16), shots on goal (14) and shots on goal percentage (.875).
2018 (Redshirt Junior): Earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors for the third-straight season … played in all 18 games for the Cardinals, with 17 starts … tied for the top spot in shots (30) while leading the team in goals (5) and points (11) … scored goals against nationally ranked opponents No. 9 Louisville (10/03/18) and No. 17 Northwestern (10/21/18).
2017 (Junior): Competed in all 17 games for the Cardinals, earning seven starts… Academic All-MAC… tallied three goals on the season against Saint Louis, Ohio and UMass-Lowell… earned eight total points with two assists and 12 shots…finished the season with a .833 shot on goal percentage.
2016 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 19 games as a sophomore… Academic All-MAC… marked one assist for a total of one point… attempted four shots, with three landing on net ending the season with a .750 shots on goal percentage.
2015 (Freshman): Saw action in the first four games for the Cardinals prior to sustaining a season-ending injury ... started all four of those games ... marked one goal on the season, which was Ball State's lone goal in the 6-1 loss at Villanova on Sept. 4 ... finished the season with two points, two shots on goal, and a 1.000 shots on goal percentage ... second shot was in the 1-0 loss at LaSalle on Sept. 6.
High School: A three year letter-winner under head coach Mitch Miller at Oakwood High School ... graduated with 44 goals and 17 assists as well as a start in all 16 games of her senior season ... was named to First Team All-Conference the last three consecutive years, earned two All-State First Team awards during her junior and senior seasons ... was named team MVP her junior and senior years ... the Oakwood field hockey team finished the 2014 season with a 10-6 record, while Shampton posted 28 goals ... earned Scholar-Athlete Achievement, Honor Roll, and High Honor Roll achievements from Oakwood High School.
