Played in 15 games and and earned one start on the way to picking up his first letter . . . often served as a pinch runner and a defensive replacement in the outfield . . . recorded seven plate appearances . . . made his first collegiate start versus Indianapolis (March 27) . . . logged an RBI and a stolen base in that contest.

Lettered three years in baseball for coach Chad Dodd . . . played center field . . . earned first team All-State honors as a junior and senior and was selected as Hoosier Diamond’s Junior of the Year in 2004 . . . named to the All-Central Indiana Conference First Team in each of his final three years . . . set school records for single-season batting average (.545 as a junior) and career average (.484) . . . also owns school records for career triples (7) and runs in a game (6) . . . finished his career as a .484 hitter with 14 career home runs, 76 RBI, 114 runs and 40 steals . . . racked up a .500 average as a senior with 11 doubles, five triples, seven home runs and 29 RBI . . . also drew 21 walks and stole 13 bases . . . led the Bruins to a sectional championship as a junior in 2005 . . . that team put together a 16-game winning streak and climbed as high as No. 1 in the state rankings . . . has played summer baseball for the Indiana Bulls and his American Legion team . . . also earned three letters in football as a halfback for coach Steve Boozier, earning All-State honorable mention honors as a senior and a sectional championship as a junior.
