A native of Cicero, Illinois, Galvan was a first team all-conference and two-time all-region player at Kentucky Wesleyan. He helped the team to a Great Midwest Athletic Conference tourney title and the school's first NCAA regional appearance in 30 years. He started his playing career at Kaskaskia College before going to KWC.
He graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.Â
