2017 (Sr.): Made 11 appearances with nine starts on the mound … led the team in ERA (2.74) and quality starts (6) … held defending national champion Coastal Carolina to one run on two hits in 7.0 innings pitched on Feb. 24 … struck out seven CCU batters … picked up his first collegiate complete game shutout in the 6-0 win over Dayton on March 18 … equaled his career high with nine strikeouts against Dayton … suffered an injury after his start on April 14 against Bowling Green … did not pitch the rest of the season.
2016 (Jr.): Led the team in pitching appearances (25), innings pitched (63.2) and strikeouts (54) … went 6-1 with a 1.84 ERA to earn All-MAC accolades … he ranked second in the MAC in saves (9), sixth in appearances (25) and eighth in wins (6) … he went 13 consecutive appearances from March 29 to May 8 without allowing a run … against league opponents in 2016, Butler posted a 5-0 record with a 1.07 ERA and three saves … his lone loss came in the MAC Tournament when he started the opener against Western Michigan, went 8.0 innings, allowed two earned runs and struck out a season-high eight batters.
2015 (So.): Appeared in 29 games, with five starts … tied for the team lead with five wins … led the team in saves (7) … finished second on the team in ERA (3.80), strikeouts (68) and innings pitched (73.1) … held opponents to a .288 batting average … struck out a career-high nine batters in a 7-4 win over Northern Illinois on May 15 … also pitched a season-high 6.2 innings versus Northern Illinois … did not give up a run in his first six appearances of the season.
2014 (Fr.): Appeared in nine games, all in relief … pitched 15 innings … struck out a season-high six batters in his collegiate debut vs. Morehead State on Feb. 16 … pitched three scoreless innings and allowed only one hit at Rider on March 1.
