2019: Competed in and started all 30 of Ball State's matches... selected to the All-MIVA Second Team... named a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree... played a team-high 115 sets... totaled 149 kills while hitting .468... pitched in 10 assists and 25 service aces on the year... compiled 53 digs and 80 blocks... ended the year with 217.5 points... had a season-high 11 kills at Loyola Chicago... had 10 kills in an upset victory over top-10 Lewis... named to the Academic All-MIVA Team.
2018: Earned his third letter at Ball State... competed in 29 matches for the Cardinals, including 20 starts… knocked down 83 kills for a .313 hitting percentage… tallied 42 digs, 38 blocks, 18 service aces and 12 assists… sits at 16th in school history in career service aces… finished the season with 122 points
2017: Earned second letter at Ball State… appeared in 28 games and 95 sets, including 22 starts… knocked down 43 kills on the season for a .535 hitting percentage… added 24 total blocks, 21 digs, 14 service aces and seven assists… marked a season-high eight kills in the MIVA Quarterfinal victory over Loyola-Chicago (Apr. 15)… had three service aces in the victory over NJIT (Jan. 27)… season-high four block assists against MIVA foes McKendree (Feb. 4) and Ohio State (Apr. 19)
2016: Earned first letter at Ball State ... marked 14 kills in his debut season while hitting a .455 percentage in addition to a 0.14 kills/set average ... the .455 attack percentage ranked highest on the Ball State squad this season ... served up 17 of the Cardinals 96 aces on the season ... also earned six block assists paired with 11 digs throughout the year ... tallied a season-high of three aces against George Mason (Jan. 30), as well as a single-match high of two kills in the 3-0 sweep of IPFW (Feb. 11).
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letter winner under head coach Christine Giunta-Mayer at Glenbard West with 190 kills, 9 aces, 106 blocks and 41 digs through his junior season ... won the regional and sectional championship, ultimately finishing third in the state his junior season ... the title was the best finish by Glenbard West’s volleyball program in history ... an honorable mention for All-Conference as a sophomore ... also completed sophomore season as the team’s leading blocker ... a multi-sport athlete, Swartz also plays Golf and Basketball for his high school, but carries a dominate 91-20 career record with his volleyball team ... boasts a 5.15 weighted GPA going into his senior season while earning National Honors Society, High Honor Roll.
