LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Kenli Nettles earned fourth place in the heptathlon and Kendra Keesling finished ninth, as Day 2 of the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational wound to a close at Owlsby B. Frazier Cardinal Park. As the heptathlon took center stage on Thursday and gave way to various track and field events on Friday, Saturday's slate for Ball State features its nationally ranked high jump unit and a host of marquee sprinters events.

Also on Friday, freshmen had success for Ball State, with Amina Hadziahmetovic leading three Cardinals sprinters in the 200 meters and finished seventh. In the 5,000 meters distance race, Sadey Seyferth posted the fastest time of her career while winning her heat and finishing 15th overall.

Track and field events continue with a full schedule on Saturday.
