Ball State Men’s Tennis Falls to Buffalo on the Road

BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 8, 2026) – The Ball State men's tennis team (7-8, 1-1 MAC) dropped a 5-2 decision to the University at Buffalo (8-4, 2-0 MAC) on Sunday afternoon at the Miller Tennis Center.
Buffalo took an early lead by clinching the doubles point, winning on two of the three courts.
Although Ball State fell as a team, Andrei Caragea and Broc Fletcher delivered standout individual performances. Caragea dominated the No. 2 spot, cruising past Clement Manguy with a pair of 6-2 set wins. Fletcher added another point for the Cardinals by clinching a tight two-set tiebreaker at the No. 6 position.
Buffalo ultimately secured the team victory by sweeping the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 5 matches in straight sets. On court No. 4, Jeremy Milette fought through a grueling three-set battle but was ultimately outlasted by Minjae Kim.
The Cardinals (7-8, 1-1 MAC) will look to bounce back as they return to Muncie for a two-match homestand starting Thursday, March 12, against UIC at 1 p.m. ET.
