Ball State Athletics Offers "Picnic at the Park" Policy for 2026 Baseball & Softball Games
As Ball State Athletics embarks on construction projects this spring to build clubhouse facilities at Shebek Stadium and the Ball State Softball Stadium, occasional interruptions in concessions availability are anticipated at both stadiums, primarily during midweek games. For this reason, Ball State Athletics has instituted a "Picnic at the Park" concept for the 2026 baseball and softball seasons, allowing fans to bring their own food and drink into each ballpark. Also, due to potential game time changes and weather delays, concessions operations may not be able to adapt to changes based on employee availability.
-- Fans may feel free to bring either a soft-sided cooler, picnic baskets or reusable bags to hold any outside food, non-alcoholic beverages and sealed water bottles.
-- Prohibited are alcoholic beverages, glass containers, hard-sided coolers, grills, heating elements and cooking equipment. Upon entry, all items are subject to inspection. At the end of the game, fans are encouraged to clean up their seating area.
We are excited to see you at Ball State baseball and softball games this season! Bring your favorite snacks, grab a seat and enjoy the games in a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere.
