
MAC Announces 18-game Women’s Basketball Schedule for 2026

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Mid-American Conference office announced today the 2026 women's basketball schedule. The Cardinals are set to face 18-game conference slate with the addition of two contests being played in the third year of the MAC-SBC Challenge. The league will also welcome a new member to its conference lineup this season with the addition of UMass.
The Ball State women's basketball team opens its 2026 18-game MAC campaign which will include nine games at home and nine on the road over a 12-week span with a break in February for the second year of the Sun Belt Conference Challenge on Feb. 7. In addition, Ball State will have two bye games, one in January and one in March. The Cardinals will start conference action at home against Eastern Michigan (Dec. 20). Ball State will close MAC play on the road at league rival Toledo (March 7).
The conference tournament runs March 11-14 with the league's top eight teams advancing to Cleveland for the quarterfinals, semifinals and the title game on Saturday, March 14.
The Cardinals ended another historic season under 14th-year head coach Brady Sallee in 2025 which saw Ball State claim both the MAC regular season and tournament titles along with its second-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.
