Men's Basketball Honored with NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

The Ball State men's basketball team was honored with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2024-25 season, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced Thursday.
The award recognizes programs that finished the academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Ball State is 1 of 7 schools from the Mid-American Conference to get the award including Bowling Green, Kent State, Miami (OH), Ohio, Toledo, and Western Michigan.
Ball State had five individuals from last season's team named to the NABC Honors Court in Ethan Brittain-Watts, Jeremiah Hernandez, Jermahri Hill, Juanse Gorosito and Mickey Pearson Jr. Men's basketball players in their junior, senior or graduate year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher were eligible for the distinction.
