
Rogers and Machado Named to National Teams

MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State senior outside hitter Patrick Rogers and junior setter Lucas Machado have been selected to compete for their respective countries national teams following their stellar performances throughout the 2025 season.
Rogers will play for the 2025 Men's U23 National Team as part of the NORCECA U23 Pan American Cup, taking place July 27 – Aug. 4 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. In the 2025 campaign, Rogers completed 363 kills, including a season-high 22 at Queens (March 20). Rogers also led the way for the Cardinals with 33 aces and 193 digs to earn an honorable mention All-American nomination by the American Volleyball Coaches Association and first team All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. Rogers previously played for the 2024 Beach Collegiate National team, as well as the 2023 U21 National Team.
Machado earned his spot on the Brazilian U26 National Team after totaling 711 assists, highlighted by a career-high 54 on two occasions versus BYU (Jan. 16) and versus Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 6). A native of Canela, Brazil, Machado was a three-time state champion at Onase, his high school, while also playing for Minas Tenis Clube in Mines Gereis, Brazil prior to joining Ball State in 2024.
