June 04, 2025 | Men's Golf
CLEVELAND – Ball State golfers Kash Bellar, Ali Khan, Braxton Kuntz and Carter Smith each were named today to the 2025 Men's Golf Academic All-MAC Team, as announced by the Mid-American Conference, recognizing a total of 30 student-athletes for their outstanding achievements in both athletics and academics.
Seniors Bellar and Khan each earned Academic All-MAC recognition for the third straight season, and Carter Smith is a two-time honoree. A first-time honoree is senior Braxton Kuntz who was ineligible as a junior due to his transfer status. Kuntz boasts distinction last season while having the Cardinals' lowest stroke average (72.3) and highest GPA (3.96). He was honored last week as Ball State's top male scholar-athlete in 2024-25 while accepting the MAC Medal of Excellence.
Khan and Kuntz both have been nominated for Academic All-America honors requiring a 3.50 GPA.
