
Bill Zenisek Named Director of Baseball Performance

The Ball State baseball team has announced the hiring of Bill Zenisek as the director of baseball performance.
Zenisek, the strength and conditioning coach for baseball from 2018-2022, returns to the program after a stint as the director of strength and conditioning for the Prospects Organization.
"We are so excited to have Bill back running our strength program," head coach Rich Maloney said. "Bill is simply outstanding. He is very structured, organized, fundamentally sound and passionate about helping our players reach their full potential – a great addition to our staff."
In addition to this role, Zenisek will continue to work as a senior lecturer in Ball State's School of Kinesiology where he has taught since 2011. He teaches in the exercise science program and specializes in strength and conditioning education.
"I'm beyond excited to return to Ball State baseball as the director of baseball performance," Zenisek said. "I'm energized by the opportunity to make an impact, challenge players to reach their full potential and to contribute to a program that values development, hard work and grit. I'm eager to meet the team and get to work with Coach Maloney and his staff to assist our student-athletes chase greatness."
Zenisek also has experience as a strength coach with the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts after working with the Ball State football team as a graduate assistant from 2007 to 2009.
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse graduate got his master's in sport administration from Ball State in 2008 and holds certifications from the National Strength & Conditioning Association, United States Weightlifting and Driveline (pitching and hitting).
Zenisek and his wife Kendra reside in Muncie.
